I am hoping that you could help me understand the big blue splotch in Oklahoma on the graph that is reporting on the number of mental health providers across the country. That graph doesn’t reflect my experience and I want to make sure I am understanding it correctly. Does it suggest that Oklahoma is doing well in this area?

Yes that's correct that those areas in blue have more mental health care providers per person than regions in red. However, it's important to note that this is often because those regions have smaller populations. For example, many of the counties have populations with fewer than 25,000 people.

Can you talk a bit more about what your experience has been like? There are definitely many examples where the data does not always align with people's lived experiences.
